Amber Petty, founder of Headliner House, offers courses and memberships to help writers and creative entrepreneurs grow their audience and make wonderful work quickly. Partially through pitching stories to newspapers and magazines, partially by making marketing art, and partially by getting perfectionism out of the way so their creativity can pour through.
The vision was a high-end, luxurious brand with an elegant, dark retro soul. To achieve this, I crafted a custom mark where the feet of the 'H's connect to form a subtle star, a signature touch of gothic allure. This single detail elevates the entire identity, creating a powerful blend of fun elegance and timeless, dark style.
To lean into the dark retro feeling, I carefully designed a deep and powerful colour palette for Amber.
This colour palette includes a dark velvet green strongly enhances a sense of trust with her audience, while also evoking calm and balance. The velvet texture itself conveys luxury, richness, and classic elegance. Introducing black to the palette adds sophistication and depth.
The dark red provides a romantic touch of free creativity and brightens the overall composition. Finally, adding a lighter pink to make the palette more alive and fun.
